Commercial Leasing Lawyers

Protect Your Property

Whether you need a lease drafted, or help negotiating an agreement, Drakos & Company Solicitors can provide expert commercial and retail leasing advice. We act for a wide range of landlords and tenants of commercial premises and retail shops.

Experienced Leasing Law Specialists

From inception, the firm has had a heavy focus on commercial leasing. This gives the team
great experience to draw upon from its longer term members.

Commercial leasing law is regularly the subject of legal disputes and litigation, usually because one party was not properly appraised of their obligations under the lease documents.

Custom Leases

We prepare customized leases on a transactional basis and also tailor make leasing, licensing and other occupation documents to client needs.

Leasing Packages

Our team can handle both basic
and complex leasing arrangements, including ‘Off the Plan’ leasing packages for developers seeking to secure tenant for proposed developments.

Tenants Leases

On the flip side, we also provide great services to those client’s who are tenants by ensuring that they are fully appraised of the commercial terms and requirements under their Leases.

Leasing Traps

We work to ensure that our client’s don’t fall prey to common commercial traps or oversights often arising out of commercial leases.

Case Study: Renew the lease at a lower rent

Our client Sam, has a long term lease with a large fuel company leasing a petrol station site from him. Sam felt pressured by the tenant to accept a reduction in rent on a Market Review. We assisted Sam in managing the tenant’s expectations, ran the appropriate market review process and ended up achieving a significant rent increase of approximately $30,000 by bringing the rental in line with what should be realised in the then current market.
